2153 UTC OM with phonetics and numbers that I've not heard before on this frequency.....November Oscar Mike November Hotel.....etc....Hotel Juliet.....Xray Whiskey Papa Four....alpha four zero november oscar foxtrot....."I Say Again"....etc....This is Foxtrot One Echo...out
2201 UTC OFF

I've not heard this sort of thing on this area of the band before.....interesting! I suspect this is some kind of EAM?

There was something like this a while back... was someone screwing around and definitely not the USAF. But that was around 6925, not way up on 6988.

Next time you hear this on 6988, check the other HFGCS freqs to see if its parallel with them (4724, 6739, 8992, 11175, 13200, 15016).

Could be related, unrelated, or who knows what.

As USAF has HFGCS, USN needs some hf freqs for their tacamo birds. The freqs you listed are ad hoc freqs for the exercise, these are the day to day HFGCS equivalents for USN;
