The Poet will not go gentle into that good night.

The Crystal Ship, 6700.1 & 5386 AM, best on 6700 with fair to good signal to N. Central Texas between 0140-0210 UTC, weak but occasionally audible until nearly 0500z, on indoor portable.  Music, IDs from Juliana Montana and John Poet, Yosemite Sam pirate audio clip, some little boy explaining male and female anatomy, ending with familiar Quint, Selena and Ramones selections.  SINPO-32212.  Mexican military brought out the big guns, a pimped out Uniden CB, Palomar linear amp and hamstick mounted on the bumper of their Ford F-350 Cummins turbo-diesel agri-business personnel carrier, to QRM TCS throughout on 6700 with encrypted voice jibber jabber which juniorswl of wunclub translated as apparent requests to play more Selena.

I had nice signal on 6700 on just a portable and the whip. 5385 was in and out.
