KE4TWI Beacon 13566.5 kHz
« on: February 21, 2024, 1626 UTC »
On several different days this week, using the K3FEF/W3TKP KiwiSDR in Milford, PA, I've heard KE4TWI on or about 13566.5 kHz. I looked up KE4TWI at qrz.com and emailed him. He responded with a brief description of his beacon located south of Watertown, TN and included a photo of the assembled kit. I have not heard the beacon direct to my location nor find any other mention of anyone reporting it. Additionally I heard KE4TWI via the Presque Isle, Wisconsin KiwiSDR inter-twined with the ODX and RVA beacons.
*UPDATE* 21FEB2024 2114 UTC Now hearing KE4TWI direct at my location near Charlotte NC using FT-1000D and Mosley TA-53M yagi pointed in its general direction. Wes (KE4TWI) reports after a few days of initial testing with log periodic at home and receiving one report from Virginia, after moving to current location and using G5RV after about one month I am the first person to notice and report.
