Music For DXing
« on: June 16, 2011, 2300 UTC »
Hello there

Wondered if anyone is interested here in the LP "Music For DXing" by Spunkle?  It's a suite of 16 songs rooted in the sounds of DXing, featuring no drums, minimal melodies and very little in the way of...very much.

There are some reviews here

and a playlist for all you Spotify types here

Details about the record, including an interview relating to the DX project are here

Do please contact plant.waterer@gmail.com for any further details.

Best,

TPW.

Well I shouldn't encourage this as the artist, but you can stream it for free (I think) via Spotify and We7 (not sure if that is UK only).  I think Halcyon will let you stream some tracks too - details are on the webpages.

If you do buy the CD copy, which is limited to 100 copies, the sleeves are all hand made and there is an original print in each one, unique to each CD, based on my original 1992 logbook - the video for Hi-Lo has scans from this in it too.  The First Fold Records Facebook page has an album of photos dedicated to making the sleeves.  There are also 2 tracks on the CD that aren't on the download...

Anyway, that's probably enough plugging from me for now!
