Channel Z contest show, reprise 6925 AM
« on: September 09, 2008, 0204 UTC »
Reprise but not repeat of 9/6/08 show.  Approx. 2326-0042 UTC, 6925 AM.  Channel Z with special contest program of all instrumental music, some sort of of award to listener who identifies most songs, Pennsylvania snail-maildrop address only for QSLs for this show.  Same songs heard from earlier show, but with live announcements and station ID's.  Weak signal, crashy conditions, long fade outs but able to ID Brubeck "Take Five", Ventures "Walk, Don't Run", Edgar Winter "Frankenstein", "Telstar", Billy Preston "Outa-Space", J. Geils Band ("Whammer Jammer"?).  Good audio quality when audible for a few moments between fades.  SINPO - 23312.  (N. Central TX - Palstar R30C with indoor passive coax loop)

Channel Z Radio, 0032z+, 6925.1AM, SINPO 44433, 8/9/08
Nice signal into Chicagoland tonight. S9 mostly with frequent fades and occasional OTHR hit. Good audio quality.

Good mix of instrumental tunes, but I'd have trouble trying to figure them out

0040z - Channel Z ID and QSL address.

Good to hear you Channel Z!
