6930 AM unid
« on: August 20, 2011, 0349 UTC »
8/20/11, 6930.3 AM (approx - some drifting): Since approx 0245z, hearing AM station near 6930.  Mostly unintelligible chatter or commentary.
0342z: Midnight Oil "Beds Are Burning", first bit of audio I could ID, the rest still unintelligible.

SINPO=33222, very tough copy through heavy static crashes and fades.

Very rough conditions, no better via various Global Tuner remotes I tried.

I heard this here too, very weak.  CW at 0350, possibly NRS.

Definitely NRS.
Heard much talking, "Beds are Burning" then voice and CW ID's, then off. Usual killer good signal but noisy band. As soon as they were off a much lighter SSB station was on. Gradually building, I may get an ID yet.

Hey Guys

Well conditions are coming back a bit but they are sure slow. Got a few reports tonight but from closer to home .
I understand that I  stepped on someones toes last night when I came on . I usually check the forums for loggings and posts but the interweb was down last night for a long time . When it came back on I came here and saw that I was over top of someone else so I shut down early. So sincere apologies to the other station. I did not hear anything on the frequency when I went on.Hope it didn't mess things up for you too much.

  Keep listening.

Doc John

No worries man, I dont think conditions were too great and from what I can tell i wasnt putting out too great of a signal so I'm not suprised you couldnt hear me.

Incidently, your AM signal was pretty decent here but the noise level on the band was pretty high so made copy on the details a little difficult.

We are bound to see improvement soon. Just heard you sign off . Great to hear activity.
You were cutting though pretty good given you were only S5 /5 .
 Cheers

BTW, I checked various Global Tuner remotes and conditions were really rough - depending on location of the remote, I could hear only one or the other but not both stations.  Only place I could hear a bit of both was on my own home receiver.
