Radio Appalachia 6935.5 AM
« on: September 05, 2011, 0017 UTC »
9/5/11, 6935.3 AM, 0005z-0015z: Bluegrass version of "Truck Drivin' Man", Radio Appalachia ID and Three Stooges "Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!", Johnny Cash "Ring of Fire", "I Walk the Line", "Long Black Veil".
Fair via Global Tuners remote in Kentucky, just good enough to copy familiar songs.  Just a carrier here at home.

Fairly good into Georgia 0025Z. Having to use Sync-LSB to decode because of some UTE interference from the USB.

Audio is good. Lots of static crashes from approaching TS Lee.

Very good into MD this evening, S9+ on peaks. ECSS-LSB mode here to avoid the UTE above 6935.

Good signal here tonight as well.  "House of the Rising Sun" at 0043z.  Also listening in LSB because of the ute.

Thanks Appalachia!

Listening in LSB for better copy with ute nearby. Decent copy, but carrier is moving around a bit.

00:10z unknown blue grass tune
00:13z Radio Appalachia ID
00:14z 'Ring Of Fire' - Johny Cash

Thanks RA! :)
