Extremely high static levels made it difficult to ID, even with repeated listening.  There's other DNBs evident on the waterfall, but too fatiguing to even try to listen to them.

Chris, just spent 15 minutes sitting on 1.968MHz CW and nil this way, however, 2.335KHz IJ7 is 559-579 report and transmitting continuous with no key off period, been there for past three hours and still there as I type.

Will have another go at 1.968MHz later, have to go back to work... :D

Chris, had another look for said beacon tonight and also in early hours of the morning prior to Grey Line and nothing, checked out your location at Westminster MD on Google Maps and you are a long way from the Pacific being on the eastern side of the USA.

I am pretty ignorant of the USA states geographically so I am under the assumption you are hearing some from the Atlantic Ocean side rather than the Pacific?

Never know your luck though in a big spectrum eh?   8)

Yes, I suspect Atlantic beacons. The other day when listening i checked a few online KiwiSDRs and had best reception from some near the coast in this general area, so that is where I believe they were located. If we get a low static morning I may try again to snag a few, but this is not the best time of the year for local 2 MHz DXing  :)
