Radio True North relaying Kool Aid Radio, 6924 AM
« on: October 24, 2011, 0304 UTC »
Just signed on at 0300 UTC. Very nice strong clean signal here in Seattle.

Lowe HF-150 with a crappy random wire antenna.

Update at 0306 UTC: They seem to be having technical issues; the signal just disappeared.

Thanks! Just retuned and there they are.

Update: Vanished from 6305 as of 0323 UTC.

Update at 0326: They're back on 6924! Playing a little leapfrog tonight, I guess...

Perhaps RTN is experimenting with different antennas, because the current 6925 signal (which I am zero-beating as somewhere below 6925 kHz) is not as strong as the previous signals on either 6305 or 6925 for me. Or maybe it's just my crappy antenna setup coupling RF interference again (hope to address that this week).

And just saw the follow-up from RTN. Thanks for the show!

Picked you up as you were avoiding that collision, RTN.  :D

Signal strong but spotty, received on 6925 @ 0330, stayed until I heard the call signal.  I have a cold, gonna call it an early night  ;)

Pretty good signal here tonight. Only a little bit fading, the noise would peak up fairly regularly.

Just caught the 0445UTC sign off.

Got them here from the 0326 sign on. Earlier they were mixing with Dr Benway.

S9 signal according to the DSP routines, although I'm not quite sure it sounds like it.
