WEDG 1620 AM 1530 UTC 14 May 2019
« on: May 14, 2019, 1733 UTC »
I am in the process of getting my Crossed Parallel Loop back up and running again. So I decided to check out 1620 for my semi local pirate. Sure enough I was hearing music, fairly weak at first, but slowly getting better.

1729 Sinatra tune.
1732 ID! and then into "Mac The Knife"
1802 Wings "Just Another Day"

Can anyone hear the 1620kHz AM TIS station in Xenia, OH for Hamvention?   https://hamvention.org/    Right on the Home Page it has, "
Tune in to 1620 AM for Hamvention info".
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

Heard again 15 May 2019 from about 1600 UTC on. About an SIO 222 at 1915 UTC playing mostly 70s music. I do not think I have heard any IDs today.

Haven't checked for them lately, so I tuned in today, 21 May 2019 at 1635 UTC. I cannot recognize the song, but sounds like 50s Rat Pack / Crooner music. The usual SIO 222 signal.
