I've been parked on 6905 since the move from 6895 and all I've heard is the carrier...too much static crashing for audio  :(
QSL's to poorbrookking >at< aol.com are greatly appreciated! All reception and postings using My radio, My antenna, and generally in real time(excluding posting of SSTV images!).

Skip, this is the worst summer static season I can remember since '02. I heard a few things on the Drakes since switching over from the blown portables, bits of music and voice, but otherwise it's been nothing but a week of noise.

I agree completely! Both 43 and 48 meters have been a dismal mix of T-storm static and bottom of the barrel propagation. There have been some fair receptions over the last couple weeks, but the lack of NVIS has allowed only the higher power ops to punch through the increasingly larger skip zone and everpresent snap, crackle, and pop. On all accounts, it would seem that the solar activity will continue in the doldrums through 2020. One can only hope that the solar deity will wake up and shake the cobwebs out of his brain....my meager kingdom for a handful of sunpots!
