Time Signal 6780KHz CW
« on: September 26, 2019, 0612 UTC »
Have an unidentified Time Signal service on 6.780MHz CW with pips on the second and extended tone/pip on 00 & 30 second intervals running 0558z (first heard) and still running at 0620z.

Good steady 559 report, not listed in my Time Signal service for HF papers nor nothing found via Google.

In comparison, CHU on 7.850MHz CW Canadian Time Signal only 419 report at best, suggesting the signal is from the Asia/Pacific region. Long path to Europe very weak.

Can anyone improve on the above? 8)

Signal still being heard at 0830z but getting weaker, a search of the ACMA data base in Australia does not show any licence issued for 6.780MHz specifically although the following is close:

6.779.5MHz  Australian Defence Department, Defence Spectrum Office, Canberra ACT Australia 3K00JE emission 400w px, Land Mobile Station, Callsign : AXA-210.

About as close as I can find this way... ;)

you'll find a lot of like minded radio monitors who submit logs, their log files are worth the price of admission.

Here's an excerpt from my latest udxf log file;
"06778    2012: Unid 0114 ALE/USB sounding TWS (01Aug19) (DK8OK)
06780    : Unid 0150 AM 19 dots & one dash station (09Aug19)
06780    : Unid 1605 CW 19 dots & dash station on top of another dot station. This Australian 19 dot/1 dash signal sounds identical to my log in US (23Aug19) (blw)
06785    152: Unid 2146 ALE/USB clg 175 (01Aug19) (DK8OK)"

Most times & frequencies posted are only an approximation.
Due to adulteration of the E.N.I.G.M.A. "designators" they're never posted nor ever used.
