UNID 9750 KHZ
« on: October 05, 2019, 2106 UTC »
9750 KHZ @ 2044 UTC 5 Oct 19 in Arabic.  2 songs with male vocals  then another song with male and female vocals.   Female announcer at 2056 but couldn't decipher ID thru heavy QRN from a rapidly moving storm front moving through.  Schedules show closest time-wise is VOICE OF IRAN  but that should have ended @ 2020 UTC and would've been in English.  Nothing else appears an any of the schedules for this frequency at this time.
QRT 20:57
Any ideas?
Thanks

Other possibilities are Radio Kuwait broadcasting off frequency, or Radio Bahrain which is on 24 hours a day at 9745, though that would be a hell of a catch, and either a drifty signal or drifty receiver. Nothing else that uses that frequency or adjacent to it broadcasts in Arabic.

I gave Bahrain a thought.   Never having logged them before I have no idea if off-frequency TX by 5 khz is normal.   i doubt its a receiver issue as i pulled the broadcast in on both the R75 and the 7700 with equal SINPOs with both receivers BW narrowed down.  Your suggestion seems to make the most sense - Thanks, I guess I'll keep attempting to snag that elusive ID.

Probably spending too much time hijacking ships in the Hormuz straits and shooting down our drones 😎
