Windy quite strong and solid this evening. Peaking up to S7 on the Airspy HF+. The fastest wind I have ever heard Windy ditting out as well off and on tonight, fast enough to just be a buzz on wind peaks. Cooling as well, TMP 49 B 117. 04:16 UTC 08 NOV 2020

Windy being received in Michigan right now, 0617z with clear "W" followed by rapid dits and other telemetry, maybe 50% copy here on the west DKAZ loop.

Some fading this morning but a good signal on the upswing. TMP 65 B 117 and wind dits, not as fast as last evening but a steady breeze. 17:30 UTC 08 NOV 2020

I've always wondered about Windy's reported temperature and assumed it was the air temperature but it was not quite accurate or consistent. Given that Windy is reporting battery voltage maybe the reported temperature is that of the battery?

That is an interesting thought and could well be. Windy's temperature is indeed a bit inconsistent. Often times it seems to track pretty close to my ambient temperature here in rural central Arizona. My weather station is out in the middle of an open field so free from most of the effects of urban concrete and asphalt retaining heat. I will have to log my ambient along with Windy for a while an see how it differs. Probably not quantitative or proof of anything but an interesting comparison.
