SINPO 33233  Not that strong in Northern England.

Yes, this seems to be the same signal as a few months ago regarding the Brexit party and not splitting the Brexit vote during today's UK election.

It is illegal to broadcast politics in the UK on election day, but this is a pirate signal anyway. To be honest, I don't think a shortwave signal will be listen to by many of the UK electorate.

1417 UTC

It is highly unlikely this signal comes from the United Kingdom or Ireland, unless it is in a very western or north western extremity.

1425 UTC signal abruptly off air in mid sentence.

I heard this transmission. It was people talking about the 'Marxist Jeremy Corbyn who will bankrupt the country quicker than you can say Venezeula' and saying to vote Conservative to get brexit done.

Seeing as Labour got completely wiped out in the election I think the station may have helped like Radio Caroline/RNI did when they urged people to vote Tory in the 1970s. I heard no station ID and definately no Brexit Radio ID

Yeah, it's tempting to think that.  I believe the recording was of a press conference where a number of Brexit party MPs stepped down and urged Brexit voters to vote tactically and not let their vote be split.  You would think the labour vote got wiped out, due to the number of MPs, but in reality they still got 33% of the vote and Boris got 45% in the first past the post system.

The listenership numbers and influence of the maritime Pirate Radio days of Caroline and RNI etc are long gone on Mediumwave, and even more so on shortwave.... maybe it convinced an Ofcom officer monitoring the station or a DXer, but in the scheme of things, it probably did not make much difference.

Well, Boris has his majority, let's see what he is going to do.  Hard-soft Brexit, right wing cabinet or reshuffle, Scottish independence and a united Ireland... we'll see how it goes.  All I can say is, probably, I'll be least affected of everyone, whatever happens.... Farage seems to not have much confidence that Boris will deliver a clean break Brexit... and he could be right, you know. The UK will no longer have influence on EU decision making.... while still trading with the EU under Boris' deal....mmmm
