Lack of Pirates on new years eve?

Maybe it's still early, But I would have thought there would be more activity this evening? I suppose even Pirates need an evening of drinking and fireworks though. I personally will be in bed by 10:30. Married, 3 kids. My fun New years eves are long past.

Rumor has it that X-FM will be on around 4 MHz this evening, and WDDR Drunken DJ Radio usually has a big NYE show, likely in the 4 MHz range if he's on.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured there would have to be some kind of activity. I'll keep an ear out.

I just tried 4000 through 4200 and only the Latin American station on 4055 is there.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

I had reason to think X-FM would be on already, but WDDR usually puts in an epic show, long enough to ring in the new year for the Eastern and Central time zones, so I'm not surprised that he hasn't begun yet. Last year I think he passed out without formally signing off.
