Radio Farda 5860 Musical Glitching
« on: February 05, 2020, 2132 UTC »
5860 Khz @ 21:28 and for last ten minutes (at least) the audio is 'hung-up' on a half second of music (a la a skipping CD). Sounds like someone is trying to nudge it forward as it is ever so gradually moving forward in tiny chunks. Now into talk (presumed Persian) but same issue with skipping/glitching. This is a new log for me (drifted out of SWL'ing over the years but periodically check back in...started way back in the glorious 80's, but I digress) so I don't know if this is routine for Radio Farda?

Never heard of the "hung-up" glitch before but my experience with Radio Farda is always one of weak signals and consistent fading.
I agree with you on the 80's - SWLing back then bears little experience to SWLing now. Whether its worse now or just different now is subjective.
