Logged on 6940 Khz, USB, 3-13-2012 with a great signal (S9+5) but obviously having a bad problem.
This sounds like out of control CW but then some recognizable characters toward the end of
the transmission.

Got around to downloading and listening to this. Sounded like someone goofing around on a straight key. At first I thought it might be the "wrong" side of an FSK Morse signal but then heard the "V V V AR AR" part.

So you got me on this one!

Interesting catch.

I've heard out of band ham signals in the 69xx kHz area. I also checked the database at http://www.spynumbers.com/ and see that M51 uses 6940 kHz.
