KWAY is in Waverly, IA with 1000W daytime power and a directional antenna throwing some signal up this way. They're only 165 miles away, so not a whole lot of DX there, but we have a local station (KMNQ) that is currently off the air. Therefore, taking the opportunity to see who else comes in on 1470 with the local off the air.

From KMNQ's STA request and the FCC response:

SANTAMARIA BROADCASTING, INC., LICENSEE OF KMNQ (THE 'LICENSEE') IS PERFORMING EQUIPMENT UPDATES THAT REQUIRE GOING DARK TEMPORARILY. IN ADDITION TO PERFORMING THE EQUIPMENT UPDATES, LICENSEE IS FACING ADDITIONAL DELAYS DUE TO THE COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS, AND CONSIDERS THE SAFETY OF ITS EMPLOYEES TO BE PARAMOUNT. LICENSEE EXPECTS THE STATION TO BE SILENT FOR A FEW MONTHS, AT MOST, AND THEREFORE RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS THIS SILENT STA.
