New World Radio

SINPO=33222, but up and down...

22:17- "Vienna Calling" by Falco (German version).
22:18- "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler.
22:23- "Brandy" by Looking Glass. Signal nice, clear and strong now, SINPO=44444.
22:26- "Life During Wartime" by Talking Heads.
22:51- Had to step away, but back and hearing "Strawberry Letter 23" by The Brothers Johnson. Signal is weaker now, SINPO=23222.
22:54- "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova. A Canadian 80s classic!
22:57-  OM with deep voice. Repeated something (almost sounded like a number station recording, but not quite).
22:58- THIS IS NEW WORLD RADIO, repeated by OM synthesized voice. Clear ID, thankfully!
22:59- Off, I believe.
23:00- Signal back, same OM voice repeating station ID again.
23:00- "Scary Monsters" by David Bowie. Signal climbing out of what was deep QRN, SINPO=34222.
23:05- Same OM voice IDs New World Radio once (just after a clip from a movie or something similar).
23:05- "Gimme One More" by Freeman.
23:10- Same OM voice IDs New World Radio at least twice, then signal off at 23:11, I think.

Happy to have been able to catch and ID this one. Thank you NWR for the transmission and show!

Please QSL if you're so inclined. 73s!

Per QSL received by New World Radio, any songs before 2300 was somebody else! I suspect from Molvania Poacher's detailed posting that New World Radio started at 2257 UTC on 6925 AM, whereas the earlier station was on 6925.2 AM

To clear any confusion... I was tuning up my audio with 40w peak with the music on 6925.2AM, NWR was not anywhere to be heard when I started. I pushed it up to 100w peak just as Aldo Nova started playing, and BSOD'ed my music computer. :) So, he started right about that time I reckon. My audio line to the front panel audio jack was picking up RF like crazy. A couple clip-on ferrites seemed to do the trick.

So, anyways, that is what the deal is here. FWIW, I heard the NWR ID in my local monitor fairly clear when I shut down the carrier. So, if NWR was on when I first signed on, my apologies.

Interesting! I think that covers the whole show this evening! You were on first Boogie! The New World Radio guy didn't hear you when he fired up probably because you had QRT'd!
