That question about the antenna of LHH was in reply to this :

2331 music on noise level, but I almost never hear them, - it's probably because of their antenna
I have no answer, but surely LHH has chosen to get good results on the UK, from the west of Ireland (as said), so for distances roughly between 500 and 1000 km, not more (not for Gdansk, about 2000 km away).
That subject is poised to be moved to another forum...

I heard that LHH uses a half-wave dipole and 300 watt carrier. (But don't quote me on that)  ;)

A halfwave dipole at mid-height is a good choice for a TX antenna aiming at mid-distances.

I believe their dipole height is around 20 meters, which at 6205 khz is a bit less than half a wavelength above ground.... so a fairly optimal setup, and they frequently are received on the US east coast via night path.

Ah ok thanks. I can't hear them as as well as they used to be on 6220 and certainly not as well as when they were using 4025
