Unid 7000 AM
« on: April 10, 2012, 1236 UTC »
4/10/12, 7000 AM, 1230z: New to me - definite carrier and very weak audio but sounds like something in addition to the usual Brazilian chanters I've often heard on 7000 LSB.  Continuous chatter, mostly male voice, but not enough to tell what language - not English, though.  Also occasional ALE.  The chanters also audible on LSB.

Unpleasant Frequencies Crew
Al: Palstar R30C & various antennae
Snoopy: Sony ICF-2010
Roger: Magnavox D2935
(Off-air recordings.)

4/14/12, 7000 AM, 0400-0430z: Still picking up moderately strong carrier on 7000 but no audio.  Still not sure what this is, doesn't appear to be hams or the familiar Brazilian chanters I've logged several times before on 7000 LSB.

I was killing some time at the local bookstore yesterday, looking at the radio mags. Pop Com mentioned a broadcaster on this frequency, either in the center guide page,or the SW loggings section. I can't recall the other details.

Saw a hint of a weak carrier there, but if it wasn't pointed out that something may have been there, wouldn't have noticed.

I have heard this broadcast on 1st of April 2012, at 1925z on 7000 kHz under some strong blank carrier here in Kiev (however it is in English).
