I watched this today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. And, yes, there are major mentions of pirate and shortwave radio; they both are integral to the plot. I recommend it highly.

Like a moth drawn to the flame; like a dog returning to its own vomit, you could not help yourself. It was for the betterment of Pirate Radio, nay! For the betterment of all of the shortwave hobby, that I had to return. You were simply the instrument, being used up in the achievement of a greater good, namely me.
