SSTV 27700 USB 15 and 16 Jul 2020

Nice to see some more activity on 27700 USB. Timestamps at the bottom of each image. Received on my AFE822x SDR and 11mb dipole up about 40 ft, decoded of course with Black Cat SSTV, the most sensitive SSTV decoder: https://www.blackcatsystems.com/software/sstv.html

It would be really interesting to know the distance the image traveled from.

Someone told me the 1142z image came from 31PAT002 in Portugal.

Really. That seems like unexpected propagation for 27 Mhz

Yes, check the older logs here on the HFU from last solar maximum, we were routinely getting UK CBers on 11 meters, and the Irish church stations. Looking forward to those DX targets again.

I get that. I have worked plenty of European stations on both 10 and 11 meters when conditions were good, However I have not heard of any stations being received from that distance for quite some time on 27 Mhz. I worked some sporadic E's a few months back, but nothing over 600 miles. There are plenty of 11 meter stations in  all parts of the world running a lot of power and still not making it to the US. Excluding digital modes of course.
