Recorder catch:

6925 USB SIO 131-545

Interesting conditions last night - began receiving Turtle Head Radio's SSTV images at 02:35z through 02:58z.  At 03:31z broadcast began with SIO 333 signal, but during the broadcast fading took the signal from completely under the noise floor to booming loud at times.  There was a few more SSTV images at the end of the show and then one last one at 04:38z.  Only listened a little bit to my recording so far, but I liked the weird overlapped voices near the begining. :)

SDR recording here. Very good reception, about S9 during the first half of the show, down to about S7 by 0357.

Hello Sealord et al,
Would you be so kind as to give me some insight into how you "decipher" the SSTV??  I'm familiar enough with WEFAX (I have a Universal M8000 decoder unit).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi fpeconsultant

No problem - I use MMSSTV like most others around here which you can download the file from this page:

http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmsstv.php

Here's a snapshot of my settings I've used in the past:

The 'Device ID' is where you select your audio input (sound card) on the 'Misc' tab page.  The first tab 'RX' can be set like I've got it shown for 'set & forget', but playing with these setting will let you fine tune MMSSTV for your pc & audio rate.  I'm sure some of the other dxers have different setting, but this works pretty well for me. :)
