Usually it is the Chinese Jamming Service, not Sound of Hope itself.

Yes probably the Jammer - but I have heard the jamming stop for short periods to allow SOH to bleed thru here near Chicago.  Why they stop then restart I have no idea.
Near Chicago, IL USA.  Drake R8, Ten-Tec RX340, JRC NRD545, Watkins Johnson HF-1000, Wellbrook loop at 28', 40m inverted vee.  Please QSL to fpeconsultant@aol.com thanks.

Sound of Hope has a US-based website with streaming. You may need to install a translating plug-in for your browser if you're not fluent in written Chinese, if you haven't already, in order to understand the site. But it's a good thing to reference if you're wondering "Is that SOH or is it CNR1." Although as Chris noted, it's almost always CNR1. China puts a LOT of effort and wattage into jamming SOH (among other targets).
