Salted Caramel
« on: May 12, 2021, 1054 UTC »
For the past few decades the medical profession have been telling us how bad too much salt is for us, blood pressure, hypertension etc.  Yet, month after month for the past two or three years there are "salted caramel" flavoured things coming on the market.

Salted caramel this and salted caramel that, ice creams, biscuits, chips, drinks, ice cream toppings etc etc.

Salt is just as evil as too much processed white sugar, but no one seems to be laying the "health boot" into salted caramel. 8)

Unless you're part of the small percentage of the population that has sodium sensitive hypertension or another condition, salt is perfectly fine for you, and does not pose a health risk, even in large quantities. Indeed, there are substantial health risks from not getting enough salt in your diet.

Don't blame the salt for what the caramel, ice cream, chips, and biscuits did  :)
