BBC Manchester Derby 15400 am 1708 utc 12 Dec 2020
« on: December 12, 2020, 1716 UTC »
Excellent reception of coverage of Manchester Derby (pronounced DAR-bee) - United v City from Old Trafford.  Don't know what BBC is doing with their weekend sports programming.  This is actually part of their Sports World program. Sports World has not been on most Saturdays since re-start of season mid-September but this is a dandy match for which to start.  Blue Moon, we're not really here  ;)! (COYS - ugh!)

1708 Pre-match talk, Sergio Aguero out for City due to illness - not Covid.
1730 News (ugh-kick off is now)
1732 OM news reader mentions match has started
1736 Match coverage - brief, not doing entire match, just cut ins.

No, City.  But there is a Spurs fan that it was directed in jest. It was used in another BBC post recently and I knew what it meant.

Thought that might have been some kind of shout out, as a Spurs victory wouldn't have helped City out at all as far as I could tell. As it is they got a draw when they probably should have won and padded their lead a bit, but December is brutal for them - nine matches this month. Probably same for City with the Champions League but I haven't taken a peek at their schedule. It's mostly EPL matches though. They should take it easier on scheduling for every team's sake.

Besides EPL matches and the Champions League you note, City has a quarterfinal League match next Tuesday (Arsenal) and are alive in the FA cup.  They are also down a League match as they went deep in CL last year so their opening match was cancelled for rest.  I'm with you, Pep, and Klopp, too many matches in too short a time.
