630M activity? Sounds like it.
« on: January 02, 2021, 0011 UTC »
At 23:30UTC, hearing what sounds like a very slow like FT-8, FT-4, activity on 475.500kHz. About an S3 carrier level my way. Can anyone else hear, decode, and ID that? If I'm not mistaken, 630M in the USA is limited to 5W PEP, so interesting to hear where that QRP is coming from.
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

Haven't tried to decode any of the FT modes but I was using one channel of my KiwiSDR to decode WSPR and send the spots online for a while. There are a lot of hams in the northeast working 630m on lots of modes and trying to communicate all the way to the west coast. Interesting stuff.
