VANUATU. 7260, Radio Vanuatu, finally back on the air after having been silent for a while; today (June 1)
heard at 0505, started to fade in; cut off at 0559* UT; island music and talk in Bislama ("some countries . . .
Vanuatu"); ID - "Radio Vanuatu, Vois Blong Yumi."

7890 (harmonic) // 11835 (harmonic), suddenly on at *0559; continuing with island music; 0601, "News Update"
(just brief news) in Bislama; 0604, back to island music. CNR2 QRM on 11835, which should be absent tomorrow
(Wednesday) from 0600 to 0900 UT.

Great to have Vanuatu back again!

VANUATU. 11835 (3rd harmonic), Radio Vanuatu, suddenly on at *0559 UT; continuing with island music; as expected, with
CNR2 QRM for less than a minute, till they went off the air after their time pips (0600*); 0601-0604, "News Update," today
with items about parliament; 0609-0630, segment of songs in English (The Cars - "Drive," Sting - "Every Breath You Take,"
etc.); several montage IDs for "Radio Vanuatu" and "Voice of Papua New Guinea"; some very nice island songs. (June 2)

Thanks for keeping us updated on Vanuatu!

I turned on my radio just for a couple minutes between 0630-0700 UTC last night just before ending my day here. (Even if I'm headed for bed, I habitually check for Mali on 5995 and Vanuatu on 11835 around that hour.) I could hear music through the noise on 11835 kHz. Also, I checked 7890 kHz and heard no audio, but could detect a signal. Most nights, I don't even get a hint of the harmonic on that frequency.

Vanuatu's 3rd harmonic on 11835khz is easy, easy pickins here in Alaska every day.. ranges from poor to very listenable.. usually somewhere in between.

July 25 Sunday - 7890 (H), heard 1025 till xmtr off at 1114 UT; religious songs, excerpt 1037-1051 preaching;
1110-1112, full ID & NA; 1112-1114, open carrier (dead air); off via the usual timer.

July 26 - At 1011, no RV heard on 7890 (H).

July 27 - At 0525, no RV on 7260; from 0559+, not heard on 7890 (H) or 11835 (H).

July 30 - From 0620+, no RV on 7890 (H) or 11835 (H).

July 31 - At 0552, no RV on 7260; from 0559+, not heard on 7890 (H) or 11835 (H).

Aug 5 - Looking for Radio Vanuatu; randomly from 0557 to 0810 UT, on 5040 (Cuba was off before this time period),
7260, 7890 (H) and 11835 (H, with just CNR2 heard). No trace of RV anywhere. Ron (California)
