WTCR 6925 then 3433
« on: February 01, 2009, 0806 UTC »
2/1/09, Twentieth Century Radio WTCR heard first on 6925 USB, 0044-0138 UTC, set of songs by Brewer & Shipley and Stevie Ray Vaughn and Vaughn brothers.  Not as strong as usual signal from WTCR, probably a sign of current poor propagation.  SINPO - 34322 overall, some minor ute QRM.  (N. Central TX)

Audio clip for most of show, rough in places due to fades and noise: http://www.mediafire.com/?ndlhzmijfjz

Repeat of WTCR show on 3433 USB, 0140-0250 UTC, with addition of songs not played during earlier set: "Roam" by B-52's, Mott the Hoople "All the Young Dudes," Traffic "40,000 Headmen," not sure about fourth bonus track.  (Is Dr. Morbius trying to keep us honest about not merely recycling our earlier signal reports?)  Weaker than 6925, tho' listeners along East Coast reported better signal on 3433 compared with 6925 (per IRC #pirateradio).  SINPO - 23322, some sideband voice QRM near 3435, a little raspy buzz, can't tell if QRN or RFI from neighborhood digital hash. East Coast listeners on IRC reporting good strong signal.

Audio clip for bonus tracks only ("Roam," etc.) with IDs at beginning and end: http://www.mediafire.com/?zjujkcfqyki
