New RFI source(s)
« on: September 29, 2021, 0441 UTC »
Trucks- tractor trailers.  Traveling today while checking out the medium waves one passed with a strong clicking type emission , also another one I don’t know how to describe but it sounded like a component failure in the front end of an antique radio.  Besides the trucks now a similar clicking through the radio going over a new bridge locally and several small towns had very strong data like blocks about 3 seconds apart for the length of the town.  ? ? ?

I notice this and other noises while passing semi's on the highway.  The clicking noise, and also strong 60Hz buzzes.

I've noticed clicking sounds as well from trucks & maybe even cars. Tire pressure sensors typically transmit on 315 and 433 MHz, although perhaps some of the sensors generate RFI on the MW band?

The 60 Hz buzz could be from an inverter powering the trucker's fridge & other appliances?

That's what I assume.
