11m DX 25 OCT 2021
« on: October 25, 2021, 1244 UTC »
1242 Hearing some traffic on RC channel 19A, not English, not sure what language. Sounds more like Italian than Spanish.
1243 Channel 6 "Good Morning From Italy" with a good signal.  So yes, 19A was probably Italy also. The last few days the band has opened relatively early in the morning to Europe.
1300 Quiet now
1353 DX now on 36L (sounds Irish) and 39L.
1357 27525 USB - Two Irish ops talking about the DX conditions.
1402 38L 29 Division (Ireland) calling, then asked to take it down to 375 (37L).
1411 CH 1 SS taxi dispatchers
1557 Great conditions again, lots of stations everywhere, Italy on 27600U with strong signals.
1721 Lots of west coast stations now.

Glad to hear that there was some prop on 11M again. Also surprised to hear about a DX station on CH6. That place is usually a high-wattage mess, without good conditions. Hopefully, it will roll into the weekend. I didn't have time to play radio, but I did get my antenna up for my SDR receiver, about 70' of wire on the main, and a 25' counterpoise. Looking forward to using the RSP more. The Ant is no beverage, but it's gotta be better than the MLA-30 currently connected.

A coat hanger is likely better than an MLA-30  8)

Not a bad day on 11m yesterday, hoping today is just as good or even better!  Locals on ch 12 now, maybe some weak DX on ch 6.
