2 OM speaking what may be Italian on 4655 Khz, any ideas who/what it may be?  S5-7 into NW Ohio.

Didn't sound like Portuguese, but I'm sure no foreign language expert.  Sounded like two OM chatting informally.

could it have been hebrew? but that doesn't sound italian, sounds more like arabic to most ears- because if it was actually 4.665 it would be MOSSAD.. 4.651 is Airbus test flights according to qrg http://qrg.globaltuners.com/?q=4.6&s=1 but I believe air traffic would be in all EE. I have noticed some reception on the listed mossad frequencies but never good enough for copy.

The E10 Mossad transmissions ceased around March 1, 2011. None have been heard since. None of us mere mortals knows what happened to them or why.  :)

I've been hearing a pattern of "dits" on 4655 USB - no voice, just dit dit dit dit...no cw code just seems random dits anywhere from 5 to 9 dits in a row, then a pause..is quite narrow bandwidth. I haven't made a log but will start doing so now, I was unaware that frequency was no longer used, I assumed it was Mossad all along.

Not sure if your "dits" reception is the same, but go over to the HF Beacons part of the forum and check out the entry titles "Dashers / Ditters 5 December" and see if this jives with anything you heard.  Apparently, there are a LOT of them out there.

I can't help but think these are very intentional - propagation beacons, I would think.  These guys are not hobbyists!

In fact, that might be a better place to post your findings, as what you heard was very beacon-like, and others there might have more info for you.
