For that price of 4400, you could buy a couple of Icoms like a 7410 or even a couple Yaesu FT 2000 rigs. Or a motherload of rigs from the mid 90s to now. However, I have to say that JRC made some mighty fine equipment for listening just like the older Icom receivers of the late 80s early 90s.

I see crazy prices like that on eBay all the time.  I think some people are just hoping they'll get lucky, and that some eBayer will be stupid enough, or rich enough, to pay what they're asking. (And I'm not even talking about stuff that might be considered 'collectable'....)

It doesn't cost them too much to try.

Yeah, everything is "Rare" on EBay.

I can get an R-390A/URR and have it re-done and aligned for about 1/4 the price.

I wish EBay had a feature that allowed users to comment on items for sale (Not the feedback feature).

I wonder about the people who sell stuff on ebay. Is the seller of this radio complaining or bragging. Can't tell by his user name.
