Jimmy the Weasel

I was wondering if anybody had any recordings of the late, great Jimmy the Weasel doing his thing. I only ask because I can't find any online recordings, just written mentions.

The same thing goes for "Voice of Green Acres."

You might want to try to get in touch with James Brownyard of WHYP. I recall that he used to include clips of Jimmy in a lot of his shows back around 2000 or so. JB used to use the Belfast drop back in those days.

P.J. Sparkx of WREC might be helpful too.  He had various samples of Jimmy that he'd loop and use in nefarious ways.  The Belfast drop might be able to make contact.  Man, I'd love to hear Jimmy doing "I Wanna Pee On The FCC" again.  You don't know what you've got till it's gone...

I'd like to thank the responders; I will contact those people and see what happens.

Meanwhile, I was wondering if there were any "Voice of Green Acres" recordings out there....I know there were a lot of SWLs who disliked VoGA because it was an idiotic premise for a station, but seeing as how the "obvious gimmick" station has faded away, it would be nice to hear it anyway. If you can find clips of the "East Coast Beer Drinker", we need to hear a guy chanting the Green Acres theme.

Jimmy was probably my favorite pirate of all time. He would pop up anywhere his radio would let him go. I enjoyed him best when he would pop up on 40 meters and annoy the hamsters for hours.

The Voice of Green Acres was a short lived station. IMO,your best bet would be contacting Andy Yoder or JTA about it. If those two don't have recordings of it,they probably don't exist.
