Two 8500 Beacons 0042 UTC 2 Jan 2013

I have a faster beacon on 8498.5 kHz, and a slower one on 8500.3 kHz.

The 8498.5 kHz dahser appeared to go off air at 0110 UTC on 02 Jan, 2013.  The night before it looked like it went off air at 0106 UTC, but the southwest region had a very slight cloud cover that night.  I have to wonder if the location might not be in the southwest and if the beacon might be daytime only.

The 8500.3 kHz dasher was very, very, weak here, just in and out of the noise floor.

HNY all!  I was hearing the faster one here this morning, probably around 1700 utc. 

Have not heard the slower one.

I heard one at 02:30 UTC, Jan 2, 2013... seemed to be 8503 kHz.... Seemed to be dashing around 100 dashes per minute. Strong signal into Southern Ontario.
