Screaming in at S9+5 here, simply excellent reception today

1844 On abruptly with brief Quran?
1850 OM talk, then what sounded like a political speech in what sounded like Italian, of all things...
1855 Short Taraab selection
1859 Ment "Spice FM"
1900 Time pips, and into what I gather was news with many ments "Tanzania"
1908 A bizarrely cool martial/heroic song in AA?
1915 Long block of Quran
1944 Went straight from Quran right into a mellow dance track.
2000 OM talk, couple ments of Dar, into some upbeat pop; nice rumba!
2026 OM talk with "Radio Tanzania" heard in passing.  Back to upbeat pops - sounds Congolese.
2047 off immediately following the last song

Tanzania has seen multi-cultural influences, and this really shows up in their programming.  And also their music, which is some of the finest in Africa.

Here are links to a couple of tracks from my collection, if you're interested in hearing what some of this sounds like at a higher quality.

In again well today 927Jan13), but not nearly as well as the other day.  Very nice multilingual at 1940 by YL.

Maybe Spice FM is a Top 40 station, since a couple of the songs I am hearing today I heard on Friday.  ;D

2100 Running long, and now into Bongo (Tanz hip hop) program until pulled the plug at 2109.
