UNID Spooky Sound 6925USB 2324UTC 29Jan13

Last summer around July a number of people heard a peculiar sound played over and again repetitively, especially late during overnight recordings.  IIRC, it was proposed that this was a bird call which was slowed down about 16X.  It seemed to stop in late July.

This, or something very similar, was heard again here around 2324z, fair copy in local Tstorm QRN.  After the noise stopped, the PSK station which has been heard lately on 6925 started up after a few seconds.  I have no reason to believe that the two are related.

Edit; In checking an evening and overnight recording, the PSK like noise stopped at 0000z, and about 20 seconds later, this sound was heard once again for about a minute and a half.
