Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

Arf!

Tubeway Army, that's an act I haven't heard mentioned since about 1980. I would've played The Jam from circa !977-80 off of that Who set, but it's your show. I've got that Tubeway Army album, too. Me, I like to keep my Mods with the Mods, less trouble with them that way.

Sorry I missed this one. The Who's "Live At Leeds" performance supposedly reached dB levels equal to a jet airliner taking off. I wonder if the folks up front ever got their hearing back? No wonder Pete Townsend is deaf.

See if you can find their stuff as "The High Numbers", I know there's some early 60's video of the act on Youtube. Same guys but rougher sounding, it looks like they're playing in someone's living room, way back in the "Going down to Brighton to kick some Rocker arse" days. (I suppose these days they roll into Brighton on Rascal and Jazzy electric scooters and the walkers fly during the riots.)
