Radio Genix 1720 AM 0048 UTC 18 AUG 2022

[Kilokat7]

I'm hearing Queen's "Radio Ga-Ga" just above the noise @ 0048 UTC.

[Pigmeat]

That's a big cat. I know a woman with a 30 pounder but it doesn't have the fur.

I've got a 1935 Philco tabletop w/ an internal loop that does well in that part of the spectrum. All hollow state so there is no annoying internal noise from the radio.

[Shortwave_Listener]

Below the noise with the K3FEF KiwiSDR. Unfortunately I can’t get a good signal on any KiwiSDR I have tried

[Kilokat7]

It's now the next morning and I'm still hearing this one.  Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" at 09:58 UTC and into Greenbaum's "Spirit in the sky".

[Shortwave_Listener]

I think this station must be very local to you because I can’t get a signal on any KiwiSDR now and it was very weak on any KiwiSDR I tried last night.

[Kilokat7]

Not too local, I lost it after my local sunrise..  Seemed to be a limited playlist of songs on a loop from what I could tell.  Fair signal at times, a little better this morning just before sunrise, but mostly a struggle to hear at my location.

[Shortwave_Listener]

It’s still going! Weak carrier on the K3FEF KiwiSDR.

[refmo]

S7 @ 0155, fair copy with static crashes, "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" Tears For Fears

[Shortwave_Listener]

I checked a bunch more KiwiSDR’s tonight and finally found one with audio. The KU4BY KiwiSDR in Elizabeth City, NC has very weak audio. The WD3C KiwiSDR in Fair Hill, Maryland still has very weak audio but better than the other one. Music too weak for Shazam.

Weak carrier tonight by 0245 UTC. Nothing heard at 0200 UTC, not sure if it was off or just not faded in yet.

Occasional weak music near the noise floor. At one point it sounded like the announcer was talking for a bit.

Shug Knight should've dropped Bobby Vanderwinkle (Vanilla Ice) when he was dangling him by his ankles out a window from the offices of Death Row Records on the upper floors of a L.A. high rise. You could always say he jumped. Everyone in the office would back you. Ah, the perk's of being a gangster.
