I have now checked 6994 khz usb
I changed the frequency to 6995 khz usb and just received a sounding on it

I take it this is Fema ?

Yes, that is correct, 6995.0 kHz is FEMA Region IV.

Feel free to use Hugh Stegman's list as a reference. Hugh has been somewhat of the "defacto" ALE list keeper over the years.

Great list, I think I will make some mem file for my SDRuno software with lists of the ALE frequencies in them, maybe start with the USA ale lists and scan them off and on for a while and post the soundings. Then make some list of ale frequencies for the other countries and scan them and see what ale soundings I find. That should keep me busy.

Hi Steve,

That is an excellent idea and you can actually simplify your SDRuno ALE memory file by combining everything together and placing "markers" in the file for identification purposes. I manually maintain and edit the files with notepad++ or a similar text editor. Here is an example.

 I use notepad +++ Also it makes it a lot easier to make up the memory files, I changed my mind and I am doing all the frequencies, I just finished the frequencies from 5494 khz to 9999 khz I also use a duplicate finder and run it on the List and it deletes all the frequencies that are in the list more then once. I set the scanner to hold for 1 second and let it scan through all the frequencies, I also run multipsk software in the background and when I hear the sounding, I stop the scan and let multipsk log it. and then start the scan again over and over. It is time consuming but what the heck.

Hi Steve,

Multipsk has had support for SDRuno for about a year or so now. Multipsk should be able to control the VRX. This is not something that I have played with but gather would 100% automate your ALE logging. Recent distributions of Multipsk include the SDRPlay_RSP2.BAT, rsp_tcp_V_1_1.exe and sdrplay_api.dll files. Ideally, control via a virtual COM port would be better than TCP.  Just make sure you backup your SDRuno.ini file before messing around with anything that way you can roll back SDRuno to a known working state if something goes wrong.

OK thanks for the information, I have been trying out Multipsk and it really works great once you get the hang of the software, I will take a look at the manual and see if there is information on doing this and also will check out the multipsk group and see how to do this. I have been thinking on buying the multipsk software for a week now to be able to use the other decodes. I already use virtual com port with SDRuno so that's set up. OK I just got home and I will run the new memory file that I made with the ALE Frequencies and see if I can find anything.
