Have Jazz music here for the 10 or so minutes that I have been listening at 0430 utc.  No id yet.  Band is noisy here in northern UT this evening with deep fades off and on making for rough copy at the moment.

Its Grizzly Bear Shortwave!  Very lucky to catch the Voice ID with a peak in signal strength!

Hearing banjo music of some kind at 04:40.  Good S9 signal.  Just heard them say "squeal like a pig"

0444Z, I just got home and tuned in. Conditions are not so good with S4 noise but can hear the station well enough. Their bandwidth is very wide. I can still hear the station while tuning down to 6.925.
0446Z, they are playing Elmore James and John Brim's - Dust My Room. I believe they are actually in AM mode though?
I completely agree with you BOR. The guy's got a couple of screws loose. How the heck have you been?
I am doing well also. Dr. SL, I must agree with you as well! LOL.
0457Z, I can no longer hear GBS. That's unfortunate. This is the first time I have heard this station.
0504Z, Is this still GBS? Sounds like someone is playing Citizen's Band channel 19 recordings right now. I heard someone say, "Where's the county mounties?"
0510Z, they have come back up a little in signal strength, playing more blues.
0524Z, holy cow! The signal just went up to 20 over S9. Now playing Ten Years After - I'd Love To Change    The World.
*** My bad, I believe there was another station that came in and played the Ten Years After song. When the song ended, there were a couple of electronic sounds (kind of like the old Battlestar Gallactica Cylon red LED laden sounds) and then nothing but I could still hear blues music playing at around S3.*** :D
0535Z, still hearing blues music occasionally over the noise but I have storms in the area so the static crashes are making this very difficult. Thank you for the show Grizzly Bear Shortwave!

Grizzly Bear Shortwave is on AM. The "squeal like a pig" is probably PPVR, a moron who gets his jollies trying to jam other stations

Well BOR, not to give you a big head or anything but I can quite confidently say that your station is one of my top 3 favorites. You, RML, and XFM. And PPVR is waaay down towards the bottom of my list. LOL.

No, thank you! It's very refreshing to tune out of the amateur bands when I have had enough and come down here to find your station on playing your eclectic variety of music. It's very appreciated! Seriously.

0655Z, after the storms had passed I turned the radio back on and I am still hearing what I believe to be GBS but the conditions are still not very good. I am still hearing blues music but I can't identify it.
0706Z, I can hear a male talking. I am very sorry but I just can't seem to make it out.

Ha. I knew it was you. Can you switch to USB? I know I could hear you much better then.
The static is killing all ability to understand you.

Sorry, testing a new AM transmitter...sorry you're not hearing me well. There will be other nights and conditions will be better...that's the way it is on the airwaves ;-)
