Thanks for the eQSL! I sent in my reception report this morning.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

I may stay up late tonight and try to hear CFVP before they pull the plug on the signal (last I checked today via an SDR, they were still running the shutdown announcement on a loop). I tried last night, but Radio Marti was just covering that signal too well.

I'm going to miss this odd shortwave station, which lies only ~600 miles away from me. But as an MW DXer as well, Bell Media's shutdown affects four AM stations I can hear fairly easily from my location near Seattle. I first logged some of those stations nearly 40 years ago. The radio dial is suddenly going to seem much quieter.

Sorry, they pulled the plug already. Still there at 1930 UTC but gone by 2129 UTC.

If you have any old reception reports or recordings, I would send them to Harold Sellers (QSL manager). I sent in my 30 second recording from January on my Sony ICF-2010 and got that verified.

Yep, I read that the plug was pulled already. I may already have their eQSL from back in 2021, as it turns out. If I can't find that, I still have the detailed reception report that I sent to Harold back then.

Harold Sellers, there's a name I haven't seen in a long time. Bram Stoker used to mention Harold on the air from time to time.
