I love WWVB, too, as I'm sure most who visit this board do (which was the point of my statement, i.e., my attempt to point out the irony of the title being posted here, as this message board is likely one of the few places on the Internet where EVERYONE knows and loves what non-radio geeks think of as an "obscure" radio station).

Have a couple of clocks that have been listening to WWVB for ~15 years. However, my receivers would only go down to 150 or 100 kHz, so never knew what the signal sounded like.

Then got an SDR and was finally able to listen to WWVB last year.

Also was fortunate to listen to the last days of LORAN-C.

I totally miss Loran-C; was such an easy system to learn and use.  Reminds me of my days in the Coast Guard and merchant marine.
