on 6100.00  VERY STRONG   (not in the right forum)
1500 weather report in F (by M) and E (by W) in a loop, for Bay of  Biscay and E. of Atlantic Ocean,
with sometimes audio breaks,
speakers and studio operating sound amateurish, but the transmitter sounds like a 500 kW unit
D/E/F/G/It/Sp : Dutch/English/French/German/Italian/Spanish
+/- : about 0.02 offset, ++/-- 0.03/0.04 offset
Balanced wire antennas, wire lines and ATU

Thanks for the post on this race, Ray.  I generally will tune in to listen for the 1500 etc daily transmission, oft times fairly enjoyable music for final half of broadcast.  I have had best reception on 17800 over the years but not cited in story below.  The 17800 frequency is listed on some databases as Mini Transat at 1500 UTC, however it conflicts with Vatican Radio's Arabic service beginning at 1530 UTC.

I read elsewhere race will not start Sept. 24 as schedule due to weather, no reschedule date announced yet.

Tecsun H501x (broadcast received on this unless noted), Zenith T/O G500, Zenith T/O Royal 7000, Emerson AR-176, Zenith 8S154, T/O 7G605 (Bomber), Tecsun PL-600, Tecsun PL-880, Zenith 5S320, Realistic DX 160 using 40 feet of copper wire.  With apologies to Senator Gramm for his thoughts on firearms, "I have more radios than I need but not as many as I want."
