Recently I have been listening to old shortwave audio clips found on
https://shortwavearchive.com/ and also youtube. Not surprisingly, the audio quality varies greatly. I found a nice 40 minute RBI broadcast the other week on youtube, but a good portion of it was all but unlistenable due to adjacent channel interference in the recording. Computer software to the rescue! I was able to notch out the offending noise using the notch filter option in the Audacity software.
https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/notch_filter.htmlPretty easy to do actually and was done in about 10 minutes. This might be old hat for some of you, but I figured it may be useful information for others.
