Recorder catch:

6925 (rx in USB)

Another weak signal hovering in and out of the noise - could just hear music at times, but that's it.

Audio (03:03z-03:06z): http://archive.org/download/ShortwaveOddsSodsTransmissions/Unid_pirate6925Usb0303z-0306z07-31-13.mp3

Thanks Echo One & thnx for the ID Chris! :)

I just got done looking at my audio at lunch, and this log is beginning to remind me of the children's story in which four blind men encounter an elephant, and each describes something different.

I need to take a closer look at my audio and also SL's after seeing Chris's post.

In the meantime, I'm wondering if there were 2 elephants out there last night.  I think I heard what Sealord heard , and this ends with the ID "This is <true?> music radio, Radio Echo 1, shortwave radio".  I have BOR CW @ 0317z.  Nothing else.

This is Free Music Radio, Radio Echo One... Shortwave.

I'd appriciate hearing your recording. Also, I was on 6930 instead of 6925 in order to avoid the Peskies

Here's the confusion... the Radio Echo One relay started at 0300 UTC on 6925 kHz AM. It then went off at 0306 mid transmission.

Then it came back on 6930 khz AM at 0311 for a minute or so with a carrier, off again, then back on at 0314 UTC with the program from the beginning.

I forgot to note the move to 6930 in my message. So I've moved the 6930 logging to it's own thread.

Here's the details for the 0300 transmission on 6925 kHz:
0300 sign on with carnival type music, then into "Burning Heart" Rocky IV theme.
0306 "This is not a test" ID, then off

And... I have a very weak BOR CW transmission (heard on 6925 USB so the carrier freq was 6926 or so) at 0315 UTC.
