RF noise, off my moniter
« on: October 28, 2023, 1840 UTC »
When I turn on my radios, I get RF interference from my monitor which I run through my laptop. My laptop causes no RF noise, but the external monitor does. Any ideas on how to solve this issues ?  Thanks

Sometimes relocating the display helps but your best bet will most likely be to install ferrite cores on both the AC line and the display cable. You will need MIX 31 cores at both ends of the cables.

Have a look at the Palomar Engineers web site for a solution that work for you.

If you need to operate  the display monitor then follow SigInt advice. Otherwise turn off the monitor and the noise will be reduced.
