Only poor/fair signal 1140 into Groeningen NL SDR, Mr Blue Sky by ELO, ID 1145 into Bee Gees. (edit- I think the signal is strong, maybe it's a tad undermodulated?)

Thanks for your report.  I've checked but modulation meter here is at 100%, however, other stations may be running better AM compressors, or it could just be the conditions.  My signal should improve a lot as the sun gets lower. Thanks again

As you said, it's likely just the signal getting better. I think this is only the second non-utility broadcast I've ever heard between 8 and 9 MHz, the other being Radio Casa in Brazil on 8000.  (That includes the late 1970s through the 1980s though there may have been a random Peruvian in there.) Dreadlock Holiday is one of my favorites, by the way! (And then another of my faves, Wurthering Heights by Kate Bush.)

This frequency is near the upper limit I can broadcast.  It suffers less from f layer attenuation during the daytime and gives a slight advantage for long distance at night compared to 6Mhz... also the shorter wavelength makes it easier for me to create a slightly directional antenna, so that I have about 6db antenna gain in one direction.  It's not much, but every little helps.
